I retired from sport at 29. Not because I wanted to. Because my body had had enough.

I grew up playing football at academy level before making the switch to American Football at 19. Over the next decade I played in the UK Premiership and competed in Iceland, Ireland, France and Hungary. I gave everything to it.

My knees and ankles paid the price.

Throughout my career I tried every recovery product I could get my hands on. Boots, guns, rollers, ice baths. Some of it helped. Most of it sat in the corner of the changing room because nobody could tell me how to actually use it properly. Not every athlete has a physio in their corner.
